    General Care

    Chemicals, cosmetics and perfumes can dull your jewellery regardless of whether it is sterling silver, solid gold, gold vermeil or gold filled. Brilliance of any gemstones or crystals can also be affected.

    Given this, we recommend applying perfume and lotions prior to putting on your jewellery.

    When your jewellery is not in use, ensure that you store it in an airtight container. Make sure to keep it dry - this also means not storing your jewellery anywhere in your bathroom as humidity and damp conditions can cause certain types of metal to corrode.

    Gold Vermeil Jewellery

    Gold vermeil is a form of gold plating where a thick layer of gold (2.5 microns minimum of 14k-22k gold) is electroplated onto sterling silver.

    Overtime, gold vermeil jewellery will tarnish naturally. Due to this, we recommend that gold vermeil jewellery should always be removed prior to showering, bathing and swimming. To clean, using a dry cotton cloth or microfibre cloth, buff your jewellery very gently. Chemical cleaners or silver cloth should not be used on gold vermeil jewellery as it can strip the gold finish.

    Solid Gold Jewellery

    Solid Gold jewellery can be cleaned with a soft polishing cloth.

    Sterling Silver Jewellery

    Sterling Silver jewellery can be cleaned with a soft polishing cloth. Just make sure you avoid gold vermeil details.

  • Shipping

    Packaging

    Here at Madre´ Madre´, we aim to have as minimal impact as possible.

    All of our jewellery are sent in 100% Cotton Canvas pouches, which can be washed and re-used.

    Our business cards are made from post-consumer materials (so no new trees were harmed) and are embedded with seeds, making them plantable and absolutely biodegradable. To plant: soak your seed paper in water to soften, plant under a thin layer of soil, water regularly until the seedling is established….and enjoy your new plant!

    We do not use bubble wrap or single use plastics. We use recycled mailing boxes, cellulose sticky tape or recycled paper sticky tape and 100% biodegradable satchels that can be re-sealed and re-used.

    Processing Times

    Orders that are in stock will be processed within 48 hours.

    Made To Order - Candles will take 48-72 hours to make.

    Made To Order - Jewellery may take between 2-4 weeks.

    Changes To Orders

    If you have made a mistake with your billing and/or shipping address, please contact us via email (contact@madremadre.com) immediately to rectify any mistakes.

    Once your order has been sent, we will be unable to change your delivery address.

    Australia Post

    Orders will be sent via Australia Post Express. Generally, the delivery times for express post are 1-2 business days in metro areas within NSW, VIC, QLD and ACT. For rural areas as well as states TAS, WA and NT, delivery can typically take 2-3 business days.

    On occasion, Australia post can encounter delays due to unforeseen circumstances. It is always handy to check the current delivery timeframes via the Australia Post website.

    COVID-19 - Australia Post have announced some delays and have temporarily suspended the next day delivery guarantee. Whilst Express Post is still in operation, expected delivery times may vary. Australia post service updates can be found here: https://auspost.com.au/service-updates

  • Returns + Exchanges

    Change Of Mind Returns

    Jewellery (excluding earrings) - We aim to provide our customers with high quality, ethically sourced and handcrafted jewellery. We always hope you’ll love your purchase. However, should you have a change of heart, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order to get started on your return or exchange.

    Earrings - Unfortunately, due to hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns so please choose carefully.

    Made To Order Candles - As these are made to order and set with intentions especially for you, unfortunately we cannot accept returns for change of mind.

    Sale Items/Other Custom Items - We do not accept change of mind returns on sale/custom items.

    Change of Mind Returns must be returned in its original saleable condition and must not have been worn or damaged.

    Refunds will be made via the original method of purchase, excluding the shipping and handling.

    You will be responsible for arranging to return the item(s), as well as the costs (this includes shipping costs, customs charges, government charges and duties for international & domestic orders). Please ensure to opt for a trackable postal service as we will not be responsible for items that cannot be confirmed to have reached us.

    To initiate a return, please contact us via email (contact@madremadre.com) to obtain a returns number and the returns address.

    Once your return has been received, it will undergo a quality assurance process. If there are any issues, we will reach out to you. Otherwise, you will be notified via email once we have processed your return.

    Faulty Items

    In the unfortunate case of a faulty item, we will be happy to replace or refund the items.

    Please email us (contact@madremadre.com) as soon as you receive the item and provide us with your order number, a description and photo of the damage. We will get back to you within 24-48 hours and go from there. We cannot accept any return items without contacting us first.

    We can only replace items that are in stock and will aim to resolve the issue as best we can.

    Additional Notes On Returns

    Returns will only be considered if you have purchased your product(s) from www.madremadre.com. We do not offer returns for items purchased via our stockists.
